The modern scientific world does not stand still and is in constant development, allowing both different and similar sciences to interact with each other. On the basis of these interactions, current trends in research methodology are formed. Because of volume and universality of sociology, it is dialogical not only to other sciences, but also to itself. Thanks to mix methodology and comprehensive sociological research, a wide variety of problematic phenomena and issues can be considered. The study of urban space relates not only to the issue of population, but also to the history of the territory, its geographical and architectural characteristics, and other aspects. Sociology allows to consider such combinations of aspects in interactions of sciences within the framework of complex research and in the interaction of sociological traditions in mix methodology. Possible useful variants of strategies for implementing the mix methodology and complex sociological studies of urban space are analyzed in the article, using concrete research examples. Demonstrations of the features of each strategy and their significance for the development of current trends are given. However, the listed options also have their drawbacks, which can be foreseen by careful planning of the study and balance in the dialogicality being implemented.Downloads
