Abstract

Now the vocabulary of modern Russian is overflowed by loan words that causes disputes from the part of native speakers. Some of them are sure that there are enough Russian words for full-blown information interchange, others hold the opinion that loan words are necessary for comprehensive disclosing of various themes, especially in the modern world. In the article the role of foreign words in modern Russian, and advantages and disadvantages of their use are considered in detail.
