Development of knowledge-intensive services as a vector of ensuring economic security of the state

Abstract

Economic security and country's protection from external and internal threats are determined by a set of indicators and compliance with the threshold values of safe sovereign development of the country. Ensuring economic security is a prerequisite for achieving of the country's strategic national goals. And it requires normative regulation and monitoring of economic security indicators observance. Economic security is largely determined by the level of innovative development of the country and its potential. Innovations are the product of the scientific sphere development and the demand for knowledge-intensive services, which is revealed by a system of indicators reflecting investments, innovations, innovative products, and etc. The purpose of the article is a system study of the concept and indicators of economic security, adequacy of collection and analysis of statistical data for assessment of the state and level of economic security of the Republic of Belarus. The categorial apparatus of the concept of "economic security" is systematized. Research and innovation activities at elaboration of economic development programs for business entities to ensure te economic security of the state. The main regulatory legal acts in the country that contribute to ensuring of economic security are highlighted. Methodological approaches to assessing the level of economic security based on the system of fundamental indicators and their threshold values are presented and the state of economic security at the integral level for 2016-2020 in the Republic of Belarus is analyzed.
