PRESENT STATE OF THE WORLD CURRENCY SYSTEM: PROBLEMS AND READINESS FOR REFORMING

Modern world currency system (WCС) based on domination of US dollar in international clearing-off and payments requires changes in order to create more fair and steadier mechanism of world monetary interaction. On the basis of the data analysis of the news agencies and statistical services, lacks of the existing international currency system are revealed. The reasons of interrelations between decrease of the demand for developing countries' currencies and strengthening of the currencies in the developed countries are analyzed. The conclusion is made that it is necessary to decrease gradually the volumes of the world dollars trade and to transfer to multiple currency trade as a following stage of the development of the international currency system. Meanwhile the debatable questions concerning the directions of WCС transformation and the strategy to choose by the management of our country in the context of the future inevitable changes are still urgent.Downloads
