MONETARY AND CREDIT POLICY OF THE CENTRAL BANK OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

Abstract

One of the important ways to create the economy effectively is to have accurate mechanism of money and credit regulation which gives the possibility to the Central bank of the Russian Federation to influence business activity, to carry out the control over the activity of commercial banks and to achieve stabilization of money circulation. Now effective monetary and credit policy of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation plays an important role in regulation of money market and provision of stability of money circulation. Proceeding from the complexity of economic situation, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation must carry out money and credit policy. Its primary goal is stabilization of money and credit markets, increase of banks competitiveness and use of their stabilizing influence on the real sector of the economy. Ideally money and credit policy must guarantee prices stability, absolute employment and financial well-being of the population. It is necessary to remember that money and credit policy is rather strong mechanism the support of which will allow to cope with crisis and unfavourable trends in the economy.
